GPS Compatibility
Your GPS needs a NMEA 0183 output and this is to be connected to your laptop
via a USB to Serial converter which is available from many PC supply shops
and sites.
Some GPS receivers have only a USB connection and in a marine application
the use of these are limited, if your GPS falls into this category then
check to see, using Windows Device Manager, if it appears as a virtual comm
port; if it does then it should be compatible, if instead it appears as a
USB memory device then it will not operate with the program.
